Terms of Use

Last updated: 9 April 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Tennis Mates website (the "Site"), operated on behalf of the Sydney Community Tennis League ("SCTL", "we", "us"). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

The service

The Site provides information about tennis club court availability and related updates in participating regions. Features may change over time. We may suspend or discontinue all or part of the Site with or without notice.

Information disclaimer

Club and court information on the Site is supplied by clubs and automated processes and may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate. Nothing on the Site is a guarantee that a court will be available. Always confirm details directly with the relevant club before relying on them.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Site in any way that breaks the law or infringes others' rights.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, other users' data, or connected services.
  • Use automated means (including scraping or bulk harvesting) in a way that overloads the Site or bypasses intended access controls, except where we expressly permit it.
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation.

Accounts and communications

Where the Site offers email subscriptions or similar features, you must provide accurate information and comply with our Privacy Policy. You can manage or cancel subscriptions using the tools we provide.

Intellectual property

The Site, its branding, and its content (other than user- or club-supplied information as applicable) are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy or reuse them except as allowed by law or with our prior written consent.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, the Site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss and, where liability cannot be excluded, we limit our liability to the extent permitted by law (including under the Australian Consumer Law).

Changes and governing law

We may change these Terms by posting an updated version on the Site. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that state.

These Terms are a general template and are not legal advice. Replace placeholders and review with qualified advisers before production use.
